Principal Power Electronics Engineer – Computing Systems (xPU, HPCs)

You will be joining a world-leading technology company at their lab in Nuremberg.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions for advanced DC/DC power modules and power architectures specifically for computing applications.
• Plan and establish collaborations with international R&D institutes and universities.
• Lead and manage the development of patents related to power supply technologies.
• Enhance competitive positioning in the computing power supply market.
• Oversee high-efficiency, high-power-density DC/DC power module projects, including technical insights, design, and innovation.

Qualifications

Required:

• Master’s degree in Power Electronics or a related field, with knowledge of power supply or power module design.
• Experience in computing power systems and their associated power system development.
• Proficient in computing power systems or other XPU power systems, with familiarity with industry research status and trends.
• Extensive knowledge in on-board DC/DC power module design, DC/DC converter topologies, control algorithms, and magnetic integration design.
• Experience in organization and coordination.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Preferred:

• Doctorate in Power Electronics or a related field.
• Additional knowledge in IC design or Power Module design for GPU/CPU.
• Understanding of XPU PDN design and PI/SI design is a plus.
• Proven experience in mass production of power module designs.
