We are currently partnered with an industry leading provider of innovative payment technology solutions for commercial customers within the transport sector globally. They are looking to expand their team in Germany with a Senior Software Engineer to work onsite in Hamburg.Â
Responsibilities
- Analyze functional requirements and create designs and technical specifications.
- Implement software with configuration control, unit tests, and continuous integration.
- Support deployment processes and maintain technical documentation.
- Provide technical expertise and mentor less experienced team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including database, test, and documentation teams.
- Define test strategies, schedules, and data requirements; document results.
- Report performance against timelines and quality standards, suggesting corrective actions as needed.
- Stay updated on software engineering advancements and contribute to process improvements.
- Adhere to company policies and values, including security, safety, and quality standards.
Qualification Required
- University degree in a technical field (e.g., computer science, engineering).
- Significant IT industry experience.
- Proficiency in Java (JEE) and familiarity with tools like IntelliJ, Eclipse, Git, Maven, Jenkins.
- Experience with UML design tools.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Experience with Apache, Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Web Service Security and PKI infrastructures.
- Experience in high-volume data processing and public transport ticketing.
- Familiarity with databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and web technologies (XML, JSON, JavaScript).
