SoC Architect Job Description
Are you a passionate SoC Architect with a proven track record?
We are looking for a talented individual to join our dynamic engineering team and play a key role in defining the architecture of our next-generation mixed-signal SoCs.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the definition of the architecture for complex mixed-signal SoCs.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure the architecture meets product requirements, market demands, and cost constraints.
- Drive the development of detailed specifications for the entire system, including software, hardware, performance, area, power, and security.
- Select appropriate third-party IPs to meet product needs.
- Perform behavioral, functional, and performance modeling to optimize the design.
- Work collaboratively across engineering, verification, software, and program management teams to deliver successful products on aggressive schedules.
- Manage requirements traceability and ensure complete coverage.
- Define the micro-architecture for custom IPs.
- Develop and implement the chip’s security strategy.
We are looking for someone with:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in a senior development or leadership role within the semiconductor industry.
- Proactive technical leadership with a startup mindset.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle ambiguity.
- The ability to influence decision-making across all engineering and business functions.
- Experience working on projects with tight deadlines and in distributed teams.
- Deep knowledge of SoC architecture, including standard peripherals, processor architectures, memory subsystems, on-chip networks, and hardware/software partitioning.
- Experience with external high-speed and low-speed interfaces.
Bonus points if you have experience with:
- Jama or other Requirement Traceability tools.
- The ARM ecosystem.
- Real-time operating systems.
- High-speed I/O interfaces like PCIe, LPDDR, and Ethernet.
- Network on Chip (NoC).
- 5G/6G networks.
- Designing safe, reliable, and high-availability systems.
- Delivering complete specifications on time for multiple complex projects simultaneously.
