A fast-scaling Semiconductor designer based in the Netherlands, are looking for an experienced System Software Engineer to join their growing team. Do you want to work on cutting edge Security based technologies? Look no further!

As a System Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining network drivers that ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of our networking hardware. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security experts, hardware engineers and software developers, to develop state-of-the-art VPN based network driver solutions for ultra secure Semiconductor CPU technology.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software for network device drivers for secure CPU chips.
Implement and optimize Linux network device drivers to support secure and efficient data transmission.
Collaborate with hardware design teams to understand hardware specifications and ensure seamless integration between hardware and software.
Integrate secure network protocols and encryption methods to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging to ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of VPN and network driver solutions.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for driver-related issues.
Contribute to documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and release notes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in developing Linux network device drivers.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, and Rust experience would be beneficial
Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.), VPN technologies, TLS and Linux kernel internals.
Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, Ethernet, etc.).
Experience with kernel-mode programming and operating system internals.
Proven ability to debug and resolve complex driver issues.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience and understanding of SDN technologies would be hugely beneficial
