UK Standardization & Industry Development Consultant
- Responsible for leading the insight into the ICT industrial environment in UK, including Next-generation networks (wireless, optical networks), artificial intelligence, high-speed computing, semiconductors, open source, health care, accurately identifies changes in industrial direction, formulating industrial development plans, and implementing standards, ecological and industrial development strategies locally;
- Responsible for establishing effective connections with key local industry organizations (standard organizations / industry alliances / academic organization / open source communities / technology innovation organizations, etc.), including but not limited to BSI, ISO, IEC, CEN/Cenelec, TechUK, IET etc., enhancing industrial influence in UK, and handling crisis management and effective control of risks to ensure business continuity;
- Based on industrial clusters, promote business-based bilateral innovation and cooperation between key players (operators / industry partners / institutions, etc.) with Huawei (national innovation projects, white papers, standards, key positions, etc.), and promote the continuous and effective participation of each BU;
- Support the response to public consultations on technical policies and regulations;
- Supporting the company’s global industrial development layout by promoting effective coordination between UK and global work.
To qualify, the candidate will need to meet the following minimum qualifications
- Hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree or above in related field of expertise;
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in ICT related, and the geographical experience in UK or EU is a must;
- Work experience in standards organization and industrial associations is preferred;
- Good external and internal communication skills and cooperation capabilities;
- Equipped with fast learning ability to master the company’s products in various fields and understand various product users;
- Proven track record of success in the selected industry area; customer-facing experience; fluency in English; fluency in any other language is an asset.
